Work-Based Learning

Partners are exchanging practices on how to set up fruitful collaborations with the private sector in the field of Work-Based Learning (WBL). A comparative analysis of the practices concerning work-based learning is carried out in each country. The research touch the following aspects: how WBL is structured in each country and how it is practically implemented; how learning outcomes are defined and evaluated, and what are the learning outcomes expected from the IT, electronic and automation sectors; how WBL experiences are integrated in the school programme; involvement of private sectors and external actors etc.

12 teachers of Western Balkans countries visited European companies in Italy, Spain and Finland (3 days + 2 travel days) in the field of IT, electronic and automation sectors. They observed the latest working methodologies applied and how these companies collaborate with local schools for WBL activities. The findings and knowledge acquired through this training experience allowed the creation of a virtual video gallery which teachers can use in class to show students in WB the latest trend in the sector.
These teachers piloted some good practices exchanged in their VET school, developing an online repository which is available in English and in the four Western Balkans languages.

Blended Mobility

The partners are working at the creation of a blended mobility project to test the content of the E-Learning and put in practice the knowledge acquired through the online training. Schools from the partner countries will collaborate in the development of a blended mobility project which will entail the online collaboration among students and teachers to set up a cooperative work on IT, electronics and automation and a physical mobility.

Therefore, will be the implementation of experimental mobilities of two students from each country plus an accompanying person, who will spend 3 days in Albania (+2 travel days) for the finalisation of their blended project.
